Agreement

By using Lanternly you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. Lanternly is provided by AscentWell Systems.

Who can use Lanternly

You must be 18 or older. You’re responsible for keeping access to your email and phone secure.

Scripture

The Bible text in Lanternly comes from public-domain translations: the King James Version, the Berean Standard Bible and the Reina-Valera 1909. Devotionals and reflections are written for Lanternly.

Ember is an AI

• Ember is an AI companion, not a person, pastor, counselor, therapist or doctor.
• Ember can make mistakes, including about scripture. Check what matters against the Bible and with people you trust.
• Ember’s words are not professional, medical, legal or financial advice.

Not an emergency service

Lanternly cannot respond to emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. If you’re struggling, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) any time in the U.S.

Community

• You own what you share. You give Lanternly permission to show it in Community, without your name unless you choose to show your first name, for as long as it’s posted.
• Follow the Community Guidelines. We may hide or remove anything that breaks them and may limit or close accounts that harm others.
• Posts reflect the views of the people who write them, not Lanternly.

Premium

• Premium is a subscription. The price and length are shown before you buy.
• New members may get a free trial. If you don’t cancel before it ends, the subscription starts.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play settings at least 24 hours before renewal.
• Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules.
• Reading the Bible, Refuge, crisis help and Community stay free.

Please don’t

• Harass, threaten or mock anyone, or share hateful or sexual content.
• Share other people’s private details.
• Advertise, sell, fundraise or spam.
• Try to break, copy or misuse Lanternly or its AI.

Our work

The Lanternly name, design, artwork, devotionals and software belong to AscentWell Systems. Public-domain Bible text belongs to everyone.

Ending

You can stop using Lanternly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

Disclaimers and limits

Lanternly is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, Lanternly isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, U.S.A., unless the law where you live says otherwise.

Changes

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we’ll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
